Founded in Vancouver BC in 1998, the first lululemon shared its retail space with a yoga studio. We've been growing ever since, and our technical yoga and run clothes are now available in countries all over the world. We want to elevate the world from mediocrity to greatness. Our Mission Statement is to create components for people to live longer, healthier, fun lives. We make technical athletic apparel for yoga, dancing, and most other sweaty pursuits.
All lululemon locations have strong ties to our local communities.
I visited the store recently with my mother, planning to browse and see if there were any deals. Before I even stepped inside, a female staff member at the entrance abruptly told me, “You can’t buy a jacket!” Her tone was rude and unprofessional, and what shocked me most was that she only said this to me — not to anyone else entering the store.
I was completely taken aback. I had not even mentioned buying a jacket, nor had I done anything to warrant such treatment. This kind of behavior made me feel extremely uncomfortable and disrespected. Frankly, it felt discriminatory. To make things worse, another male staff member nearby was also rude and dismissive, which only made the experience worse.
What’s truly disappointing is that previous staff at this location were always friendly and respectful, which makes this incident even harder to accept.
I have been a loyal Lululemon customer since my university days and have spent years supporting this brand. However, after this humiliating and disappointing experience, I have lost all trust and respect for Lululemon. The attitude of your staff was unacceptable and unworthy of a brand that claims to value community and inclusion.
I have already sold my Lululemon stock and will seriously reconsider ever purchasing from this brand again. Your products are no longer superior in design or quality compared to competitors like ALO or Aritzia — and now, even your customer service has fallen behind.

Usually I do online orders but I decided to go in recently and Stephanie helped me find exactly what I needed! She was so warm and welcoming from the moment I came in. She asked questions to help me figure out what I needed to go between the clinic and after. I’ll definitely come in more often because of her!

Great Service from Inaam and Zoey!
Inaam and Zoey were amazing. Super helpful with getting my pants repaired and went out of their way to make the experience easy. Lovely staff and great service!
