I’d like to publicly acknowledge the amazing things Lululemon does for its customers. I honestly don’t even know if this is a regular thing or part of some initiative — but I know I’ll never forget it.
On Saturday, August 23rd, I visited the Victoria Gardens mall location in Rancho Cucamonga to replace a pair of leggings that had unfortunately been taken from me (a funny story in hindsight). While shopping, I was assisted by Lauren, who helped me find the perfect pair. We laughed as I shared my story, I grabbed my leggings, continued browsing, and eventually made my way to the register.
That’s when something extraordinary happened. Lauren told me that she had shared my story with her manager, and together they decided to gift me the leggings I was about to purchase because they didn’t feel like I should have to buy another pair after what I’d gone through.
I have never experienced such a genuine random act of kindness in retail. I was shaking, crying, and completely moved. What I thought was just a pleasant conversation turned into a moment I’ll carry with me forever. I immediately went over to thank and hug her manager, walked out to call my family, and then turned right back around to capture the moment in a photo with them because it was that special.
Lauren and her manager were so humble about it, treating it like no big deal, but to me it meant everything. As a working mom and sports mom, I don’t get to shop Lululemon as often as I’d like — but I always value the quality, durability, and style of their pieces. This experience turned me from a loyal shopper into a lifelong customer.
Lululemon, please know that you have absolute gems in Lauren and her manager at the Rancho Cucamonga Victoria Gardens location. Their kindness embodies exactly what makes a brand unforgettable. I am deeply grateful.
