Loro is an Asian smokehouse and bar brought to you by the award-winning chefs behind Uchi and Franklin Barbecue. Together, they merged their love of Asian cuisine and Texas barbecue to offer innovative dishes you won’t find anywhere else. So come on by, kick back, and stay awhile.
It was my 5th going to Loros.
Unfortunately the service and food are not on the same level anymore. Forks and knives were missing for about 20min.
The food came out almost cold and it was noticeable it was sitting in the kitchen for a longer time.

This is Asian/BBQ fusion with a focus on unique takes. Yuzu added to aioli, miso salted caramel cupcakes (which were limited time but they should be a staple), and karaage chicken were huge standouts. Spicy pickles were such a great addition to the platter. The pulled pork was good but almost too shredded. The brisket was tender and moist but the lean was a bit dry. Luckily the sauces were great. Still a 5 star and high recommendation. Only strange part is that you have to order at the bar, there is no waiter/waitress for food orders.

I am from out of town but used to live in Houston many years back. This place is amazing! Well worth the drive I did from my folks' place in Richmond. I'll be back out here again.

This is a very nice venue. Bright, inviting, the music and ambient noise was not overpowering. Ordering and service was easy. The food variety was good and preparation was adequate. I ordered the Malaysian Rice Bowl and it was just OK. The vegetables were crisp and fresh, especially enjoyed the pickled cabbage. The chicken was tender. It was the sauce that garnished the chicken that I found to be too thick and very nutty. The coconut rice was pretty sticky. Presentation was fine. The restaurant was clean. I loved my husband's fried potatoes. This restaurant needs more attention to tweeking the menu and fine tuning the entrees. Ya'll nailed the venue, now the food! Good luck!😀

I wish I could give this place 100 stars- one of the most memorable meals I've had in ages. First of all- for ambience- the restaurant is stunning. Apparently it was an old church, and it's truly beautiful and unique. Tons of seating and various settings. Super casual environment and really comfortable. I dined with 3 business associates and we ate our FACES off for $127 total - including a 22% tip. The food was unbelievable - SO flavorful and fun. Perfect for a family-style meal. Highlights include the edamame, ribs, chilled noodle salad, brisket and salmon dip. I had major fomo that we weren't there on a ramen night- that looked unbelievable. I'm going to have to come back soon. This restaurant is a trek from my house, but worth every mile and penny. I can't recommend enough!
