Lori’s Natural Foods Center was established in 1981 by Jim Starks and his daughter, Lori. For many years, Jim and his wife Dori had always maintained a hearty garden for themselves and their family, so when the opportunity came for Jim to take early retirement after his 31 successful years at Bausch and Lomb, he put his love and appreciation for wholesome foods into his next adventure! After searching for some time, Jim purchased a small store that originally carried one line of vitamins and a few bulk items. He saw the opportunity, and with his 19-year old daughter Lori as his partner, Lori’s Natural Foods was born!

I always feel good about making a purchase here knowing how much care and sustainability minded decision making goes into their offerings
- JRJessica Reeves5 days ago5.0Lori's has been around since I was a kid (I always think of the fruit costume commercials😆). As an adult, it has become a staple for us to find more "natural", healthy, and local foods/items that we feel good about. I love that they provice local company products in store and have a decent variety of everything. For some items, the prices can be higher, but you get what you pay for - it's worth getting nutritious, fresh, and safe products! They offer fresh made soup which is always delicious! Everyone is very friendly and helpful in store. Love that they do different events where you can sample products, like the recent Harvest Festival!
- DCDane Chan6 days ago2.0I go to lori's for certain things but they need to do better with their worker's because they have worker's who think they are something they are not instead of encouraging that type of behavior lifestyle get them the help they need they all need mental help truth matters over feelings you can see they are not happy at all if you really care for your worker's you will let them know that they need mental help feelings doesn't matter over truth at all.

Plus some cool, fun novelty items as well. Books, bags, hats. If they don’t carry a product, and they can order it for you, they will. They do a lot of community outreach support for different groups. They reflect my values. I love that I can shop local and give back to my community through a store that has a heart, a conscience, and a deep sense of integrity.

They have an amazing range of GMO Free, Health Supplements, Herbs, Organic, Gluten Free, Vegan, Local Goods and much much more. The local Honey selection was fantastic. My weakness has always been mushrooms and Loris definitely didn’t disappoint. I finally managed to get my hands on some fresh Pink Oyster Mushroom for my stir fry. All the aisles are clearly marked, items have prices displayed and the variety is outstanding. Everything is reasonably priced for top notch goods. Gregg is a gem. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable and dedicated, all at the same time. Looking forward to another chat when I next pop in again. There is plenty of parking.
