- KDKrista DaughertyOct 12, 20251.0As someone who worked for LDE for years, The service I received from Alaina at post road LD was the worst experience I have ever had from one of their restaurants. Once we were sat, one server took our drink order and never came back with them. Alania then comes up 10 minutes later and asks if we are ready to order when clearly there were no drinks, silverware or anything on the table so I tell her I’d love to order but I’d prefer the two kids lemonades and water I ordered 10 minutes ago from her co worker first. She goes and gets our drinks. I then ask about rotating beers… she starts telling me about a buffet.. not at all what I asked about. I ignore it and order my usual sense clearly my question is not going to be answered. I also order food, food comes out quickly and exactly how we ordered it. FOUR MINUTES LATER alania comes and asks if we are ready for dessert or boxes…. We’ve barely had time to even taste our food at this point. I tell her “we are still eating”. She walks away. THREE MINUTES LATER here comes alania with the same question so then I’m annoyed and ask her “are you trying to get us out of here? Is our presence inconveniencing you?” She said “oh no. Sorry” then walks away and actually gives us the time to eat our food. My kids get their free dessert and she asks me if I want key lime pie. I say no I just want my check. She brings the check and I give her cash and me being me I let her know how she made us feel rushed and like a burden and her response….”I KNOW”. I’m honestly baffled. She knew she was giving terrible service and just didn’t care. I know the LDE standard for service and alania… that wasn’t it.

- RHrena HarperSep 21, 20255.0The staff went so far and above of just staff at a restaurant. My son and daughter in law had a three hour wait at the vet. To put there 15 year old pit bull down today. And they asked if they could bring him in. Initially it was a no until my son explained the situation. And then they let him bring Zeus in. I just want to tell you how loving and giving they were to our Zeus. In his final hours. It meant so much to all of them how sweet and giving you guys were. We appreciate it beyond words. It totally gives us faith in humanity and kindness. We are beyond grateful that you helped Zeus have a great last day. Thank you everyone that was working at long doggers today. Zeus is smiling and happy over that rainbow today
