  I visited this store last Friday and used my credit card to pay. The cashier claimed the transaction was declined. When we asked for proof of the declined transaction, she said their machine didn’t provide such documentation and even refused to show us the screen. We showed her our credit card history, which confirmed the payment had gone through. She insisted the transaction would be cancelled. We then paid a second time in cash and left, hoping she was being truthful. The following Monday, we returned to the store after confirming the charge had indeed gone through on our credit card. We presented proof, and an employee named Amanda, who identified herself as the supervisor, was called over. She wouldn’t let us speak, immediately began yelling that the charge would be cancelled, and became increasingly rude no matter how calmly we explained the situation. Eventually, she walked away and hid in the back room. The other staff members ignored us until we left. It was a very disappointing experience for a chocolate store. If you plan to pay with a credit card and they claim the transaction was declined, be cautious. I will not be shopping at this location—or any other Lindt store—again. Amanda’s behavior left a very poor impression.
