The interlock takes some time to get use to especially with humming and getting the right amount of air to blow into it. Shouldn't be this hard

So the install was fine. However the person i spoke to that set up the appointment led me to believe the pricing was different he told me that the install would be around 140. Which it was but then he said i would have to complete the arbor by paying 80.$ that day instead I was charged 180$ for the service so I don't know who to blame here but I'm not to happy with the price Anna i wasn't told a price by the installers until after they had put in the machine. By then it was too late good thing I saved enough to get it all done

The install, lease documents, and billing were done expeditiously. Good for on those fore sure! The only problem that has been going on since I’ve dealt with LifeSafer (about 2 years) is the obnoxiously long wait time on the telephone customer service. It takes FOREVER on hold.

I received a call that my appointment was cancelled on Friday and it was rescheduled for the following Monday. I was charged a $55 cancelation fee. I didn't see the fee till I got home. I feel that this fee was inappropriate. Other than the additional charges. The service was excellent and the attendant was kind and courteous

The install took 3 hours. Last time I had an interlock install it was only 45 minutes. I went the DMV the day after and they told me interlock was not received by LifeSafer and had to reschedule my appointment and take another day off work. Went to the DMV a second day and it still wasn't in their system that Lifesafer sent them the info that I got the interlock installed. I called Lifesafer's 24/7 customer service that just puts you on hold forever. I left several voicemails and I finally spoke with someone that didn't have access to help me so transferred me to reporting which goes straight to voicemail. I called back several times and left multiple voicemails. Reporting never got back to me but one of the regular help desk ladies did and she was able to get a hold of reporting and finally see that the first submission was rejected and needed to resubmit my install to DMV. I took off work a third time and went back to DMV to get my license and they had all the info but their system was down so I couldn't take the test. This is the 4th day of work I have taken off to get license due to Lifesafer failing to submit my install promptly.

This includes instructions on proper usage, what to avoid prior to using the device, and tips for ensuring it operates effectively. Please do not hesitate to ask your certified installer any questions you may have about your car breathalyzer and our services.
How much does an ignition interlock device cost?
The cost for installing a LifeSafer ignition interlock device, also known as a car breathalyzer, usually ranges from $70 to $150. This is a one-time installation fee that you'll pay at the beginning of your lease period for the device. You'll pay this fee directly to the service center that installs the device in your vehicle. Additional fees are usually incurred every time you must have your device calibrated and vary by state.
How does an interlock device/car breathalyzer work?
After the device is set up, drivers need to breathe into the car breathalyzer's mouthpiece to provide a sample. This device checks the driver’s breath alcohol concentration (BAC) to measure it is within legal limits. Typically, if the BAC is below .025, the driver is then clear to insert their keys and start the vehicle.
