Explained I was calling around to get quotes so I could move forward with the most reasonably-priced business.

This establishment will answer your call on the first ring if you are a prospective customer, once you have the device installed and are paying good luck getting someone to answer your call let alone return an email. Hands down the worst after sale customer service that I have ever experienced. I have so many unanswered emails to customer support. My install was ordered by Idaho and they are charging me WSP and WADOL fees! I don’t even live in Washington! To add insult to injury they say that I have to take the matter up with WADOL and when I call the state they expressly said that they have no dealings with Lifesafer on my behalf nor would they ever have a reason to do so! Calls and emails ignored, shame on you Lifesafer!

This is a one-time installation fee that you'll pay at the beginning of your lease period for the device. You'll pay this fee directly to the service center that installs the device in your vehicle. Additional fees are usually incurred every time you must have your device calibrated and vary by state.
How does an interlock device/car breathalyzer work?
After the device is set up, drivers need to breathe into the car breathalyzer's mouthpiece to provide a sample. This device checks the driver’s breath alcohol concentration (BAC) to measure it is within legal limits. Typically, if the BAC is below .025, the driver is then clear to insert their keys and start the vehicle.
