Devices are terrible . Sitting in my car for 10 minutes and can’t start it bc the “hum” isn’t right. Even more dangerous if you’re going 70 mph on a highway and it keeps asking you to blow but the hum is never right and then it’ll lock you out for 5 minutes while you’re sitting in the scorching heat and have to wait. Then to talk to customer service if you have any issues, takes 15 -20 minutes to get ahold of someone .

Made an appointment a week prior to have system installed. Get to appointment date, and get a text from their installer two hours before saying he doesnt have the parts to do it. Great.
Cancelled appt and went with another company. Then I called them to make sure appt was cancelled. Got some guy who when I told him I wanted to make sure appt was cancelled, murmured something and sent me straight to an automated survey. Okay... 1's across the board it is. Later that afternoon, I get a call from Lifesafer saying I missed my appt.
I call back and this is the reason they got a star above 1. The lady I got this time was very professional and made sure everything was cancelled and sorted out. She was awesome, so point because of her.
Now I'm sure if somebody responds, they'll have some explanation about how they contract these things out and what not, but as I see it, you're responsible for your contractors. If they are irresponsible and non-communicative, that's still on you.
If you plan on using this company, be prepared for delays.

This includes instructions on proper usage, what to avoid prior to using the device, and tips for ensuring it operates effectively. Please do not hesitate to ask your certified installer any questions you may have about your car breathalyzer and our services.
How much does an ignition interlock device cost?
The cost for installing a LifeSafer ignition interlock device, also known as a car breathalyzer, usually ranges from $70 to $150. This is a one-time installation fee that you'll pay at the beginning of your lease period for the device. You'll pay this fee directly to the service center that installs the device in your vehicle. Additional fees are usually incurred every time you must have your device calibrated and vary by state.
How does an interlock device/car breathalyzer work?
After the device is set up, drivers need to breathe into the car breathalyzer's mouthpiece to provide a sample. This device checks the driver’s breath alcohol concentration (BAC) to measure it is within legal limits. Typically, if the BAC is below .025, the driver is then clear to insert their keys and start the vehicle.
