Frequently Asked Questions About LeTendre Concrete & Design
How soon after my concrete is poured can I walk on it?
It is recommended to wait 24 hours after pouring before walking on the concrete surface.
How soon after my concrete is poured can I drive on it?
For vehicle traffic, please wait a minimum of 7 days after the concrete has been poured.
Will my concrete rise in the cold weather months?
Concrete not placed on footings may experience some rising when ground water freezes. However, it typically settles back into place as the frost leaves the ground.
Will my concrete crack?
While we implement extensive measures to prevent cracking, including proper base compaction, reinforcement with rebar, and strategic control joints, concrete is a natural material subject to environmental factors. As such, some cracking may occur despite our best efforts.
What can I do to protect my investment?
To maintain your concrete, promptly remove any fertilizers, snow, or ice buildup. Avoid using de-icing chemicals and opt for sand instead. When removing snow, use a snow blower or shovel rather than a plow. Ensure proper water drainage to designated areas.
