  So my husband purchased and above ground pool. I went to Leslie's for chlorine, maintenance stuff on the pool. Once there the girl at the front desk proceeded to ask me to bring water sample to test and advise best products for maintenance. All Good, went back home and got water sample, did let her know we are well water. She proceeded to test water. And advise to start chlorine every 4hrs until alkaline, etc. were normal. It's usually Acid first and then Chlorinen, as needed. But she stated since we were well water and based on the results, she advised to do it the other way around. I wrote all this down, I repeated it back to her, she said "correct". Well, the chlorine levels went extremely high, just found out the water reacted the in worst way possible by doing this. It's been a week and the chlorine still really high. She said I did it wrong. I told her I wrote down what you said and even repeated back to you! I would not trust them for any maintenance advise or product recommendations. Now I really meditating refilling the pool due to the bad advice given, to avoid harm.
