- GBGary BorseJun 25, 20253.0I bought a filter and chlorinator and the Pentair chlorinator leaked at both ends of the black plastic hose. I removed the hose and both of the ends were cracked about 1/2 to 3/4 inch which allowed water to escape from each fitting. The hose is also kinked. I replaced the black plastic hose with a piece I cut from the spare they provided in the box. The repair was successful but after calling the store to let them know I had a problem I was met with the usual pushback from people that like to push others around. The store sold me a defective product and I was calling to notify them about it. I was told by the woman on the phone to return the item but I already told her that it was installed and I could not do that and I had already repaired the item with a replacement hose. People that work in sales need to listen to the customer and not hang up on them. I wanted to notify them , and I did, In to look at the other units and send them back if they have cracked defective hoses so they don’t sell them to other customers.
