- KDKent DalmanJul 7, 20255.0Saved My Summer Party! – Thank You, Leslie’s Pool Supplies July 1st: I had just set up my first 18 ft round x 4 ft deep above-ground pool — brand new and filled to the top. I went straight into shock treatment, excited to have it ready for a birthday party I was hosting on July 12th. July 2nd: I woke up and the pool was brown. Not cloudy. Not a little off. Straight up brown. (First photo) I did some research and figured I was dealing with metals in the water and needed a metal sequestering agent. But none of the big box stores around me had what I needed. With only 10 days left until the party, I searched “Pool Supply Stores” and that’s when I found Leslie’s Pool Supplies. I walked in and asked right away if they had a metal sequester — they did! I bought it, added it that day, and crossed my fingers. July 3rd: The pool looked a bit better (Second photo), but still wasn’t right. The store had also given me a water test kit, but with the July 4th weekend, I didn’t have time to go back in. July 5th: I finally made it back with my water sample — and I’m so glad I did. They tested it and printed out a step-by-step treatment plan, gathered the right chemicals, and explained exactly what to do. No guesswork, just guidance. July 6th: After applying the first dose, I woke up to a massive improvement. (Third photo) The water was clearing up and looking like an actual swimming pool. July 7th: The treatment plan worked. My pool is crystal clear and party-ready — 5 days ahead of schedule. I’m so thankful for Leslie’s — they had the products, the knowledge, and the customer service to walk me through it all. I’ll be using them every season from here on out.
