Received a brand new fridge yesterday, for it to be partially working. The filter is leaking water everywhere, and Leon's course of action of course is to not try to provide any help or solution, but to guide us to Maytag. After speaking to Maytag, they are not 100% confident on what the issue is, but it *could* be the filter itself that needs replacing. Maytag agreed to send a new filter to see if this is the issue, which will take upwards of 10 business days to arrive. I called Leon's hoping they would have an extra filter (seems like a pretty reasonable request to ask for a product that has clearly arrived defective and prohibits our use of the fridge), but they said there's nothing they can do. So, now we have a brand new fridge and have to wait approximately two weeks to try to begin using a part of it. The lack of customer service or support these days is absurd. Leon's was happy and quick to sell us a fridge, but when it doesn't function properly upon delivery, suddenly its crickets on their end. It's almost as if it's a breach of contract that we paid for a specific product and Leon's has violated its promise to provide what we paid for. I try to support local businesses, but their lack of customer service reminds me of why people go out of town to shop. I have zero confidence in recommending this store to my clients, family or friends. If Leon's does not have the capacity to provide a new filter or a tech to evaluate the issue, they should not be selling the product. It will be unfortunate to have to pursue this with my bank, but if the problem persists, that will be the reality as Leon's has sold us a defective product that does not work as it should upon delivery.
