If you can go another branch, please do. Worst experience ever with this store manager Javed. This manager has no empathy, sympathy, people skills, human side, understanding of client relations or customer service or considerations for the human element. If Upper Management read Google Reviews, please give this man some training in interpersonal skills as he is in dire need of them. He should not be in any type of position which requires dealing with people, even less client or customers. He is giving your company a very bad reputation. I will now be encouraging my entire extended social network to find other furniture store because of how we were treated and our experience with this manager.
We visited the store on Sept 5th 2025 and bought some furniture. The sales person that we spent 2 hours with never informed us that any items of our purchase were what Leons refers to as ''NON CANCELLABLE''. The Salesperson only said that once your items are delivered, it's not returnable. Meaning you can cancel your order anytime, modify, exchange, refund, whatever you want, before delivery. Once delivered, nothing you can do. Fair enough. We trusted her. She was very nice and we had a pleasant time dealing with her. Her service was very good. Having said that, she did misinform us. The manager doesn't believe us and is essentially calling us liars as he says that she did tell us that part of our order was ''non cancellable''. She did not. Those words never came out of her mouth. The way she explained it, as a sales tactic I'm sure, is that this a ''special order'' because they didn't have the color in stock. She also said that their shipment is on the water, they are expecting it by the end of September and that we should have it in the first week of October. So let me get this straight? It's a ''Special Order'' because the color we want is not in stock but it's on your shipment that's already coming to you? Wow, so special. Never did she every say that the order was NON CANCELLABLE or ANY FEES WOULD BE APPLIED IF YOU CANCELLED THE ORDER. AGAIN, ONLY THAT YOU CAN'T CANCEL ONCE IT'S DELIVERED. SHE EVEN ACCEPTED AND ACKNOWLEDGED THAT POINT DURING SEVERAL PHONE CALLS WE HAD WITH HER.
Fast forward to mid September. Due to unforeseen and unexpected circumstances, we had to cancel that order. We are then told that because this was, wait for it, Leons oh so ''Special Order'', a 25% cancellation would apply. We tried explaining the situation on countless occasions with this manager but he just kept referring us to the bill and how the bill was a legal document, it was a legal contract, and that the bill stated that these were, again, Leon's oh so ''Special Order''. A complete and utter disregard for the context, situation and what actually took place. This is how you project being ''Canada's most trusted partner'' ? This is the help you provide customers when they need it most? You steal their hard earned money? Shame on you Leons for having such managers in place to deal with the real people. People like that should deal with computers, papers, calculators and pens only. Not actual human beings because that involves things like, compassion, empathy, patience, care, understanding. After hours of having to go back and forth and breaking our heads and explaining ourselves and disturbing our mental peace, he agreed to reduce the penalty from 25% to 15%.
At the end of the day, we were misinformed and misguided regarding this oh so ''Special Order'' policy of Leons. When given the chance to actually help, they threw the rulebook at us citing terms like ''Legal contract, bill'' in our face - essentially saying, it's on the bill, so legally, we can steal your money. And that's exactly what they did. They stole $250 from us. Good job Leons Richmond Hill, you successfully stole $250 from us. Hope you're proud of yourself!!!!  Keep up being ''Canada's most TRUSTED PARTNER'' !!!!
