I CANNOT THANK THERESA FOR HER BIG HEART AND COMPASSION FOR ANIMALS AND THEIR OWNERS!! I WAS IN DESPERATE NEED OF HELP WITH MY ELDERLY CAT THAT I WAS LUCKY TO LOVE FOR OVER 16 YEARS!! HER AUTO IMMUNE DISEASE WAS GETTING SO ADVANCED AND STOPPED RESPONDING TO TREATMENT. SHE WAS SUFFERING AND I COULDN'T ALLOW ANY OF MY ANIMALS TO SUFFER. THERESA AND THE WONDERFUL STAFF AT LEMON BAY WAS THERE FOR SOPHIE AND MYSELF DURING THIS HORRIBLE TIME. I CANNOT THANK THEM ENOUGH FOR THEIR TRUE COMPASSION AND LOYALTY. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALL THAT YOU DO .

Sky, our bird and beloved family member of 15 years, passed away due to what I believe was severe negligence and failure to respond to an emergency at Lemon Bay Animal Hospital. We brought her in urgently for a life-threatening condition (egg binding with prolapse). Despite repeated pleas to the front desk that this was a critical emergency, my husband was forced to wait over an hour before the veterinarian saw her.
The doctor confirmed the severity acknowledging that her reproductive tract had prolapsed and she needed immediate care. Instead of triaging her properly, the doctor stated he “had others to see.” This lack of urgency, professionalism, and empathy was appalling. The surgery was performed too late, and though we were told she made it and just needed to rest, she died less than an hour after being sent home.
This experience was traumatizing and heartbreaking. I truly believe that if she had been seen when we arrived, as ANY medical professional should do with an emergency, Sky would still be with us today. Lemon Bay Animal Hospital has lost our trust forever, and I urge other pet parents to think carefully before placing their animals’ lives in these hands.

They clearly don’t take emergencies seriously! Waited an hour for the Vet to see my bird who had a life threatening emergency! He finally treated her, only for her to die an hour later at home! If she was treated right away like the emergency she was my baby would probably still be alive right now! I am beyond disgusted as I’ve been bringing her there for 12 years!!
Interacting with the assistant Judy was a singularly execrable experience. How can I trust a staff with that on it? I won't be back
