Had the company come out to check my HVAC system for a dirty smell coming through the vents. Tech came out, drilled a hole through the metal panel (without asking me first!) to look at my pristinely clean coils, and removed my slightly dirty air filter, but didn’t tell me he removed it. Turned the air back on with no filter in the system. I signed up for the annual membership before I realized just how poorly I was treated. Luis didn’t looking in my vents, nor look in the attic. Just drilled a hole into my system, removed the filter and turned the air back on. Horrible

I used LS heating and cooling for two items, the first was to look at my hvac, the second was to add an outlet box. For the hvac, the technician ended up just blowing on a house to clear the line, was a very quick and easy fix. He noted for just that it would have been about $215, and that I might as well just subscribe to their yearly membership for $240, and that would cover the cost. North of $200 for that is not reasonable. The next week I needed to add an outlet. Since I signed up for their membership, I decided to give them another shot. This project is only running about 3 ft of wiring from an existing switch and adding an outlet. This should be around a $200-$300 job max. When I asked for a ballpark figure before starting, I was told $600-$800. I told them that is way too high, and he looked at his phone for 1 minute and said the cost would be $630. That is way too expensive. It seems as though they will give a ballpark estimate to see your reaction, and then price based on that. I would not use these guys if you are in the Lees Summit area. I know they have good reviews, they do good work but are far overpriced.

Derek arrived in the evening of his very long day. He was pleasant, courteous and efficient. After some consideration he found the cause of our furnace malfunction and thoroughly explained the problem and what needed to be done to fix it. The furnace is now functioning perfectly. We couldn't be more pleased with the service we received! Absolutely outstanding!! Thanks Derek for great service and for being an excellent representative of your company.

They said they could replace my tiled shower, I trusted them. They demolished it and basically said oops it's too hard, we can't replace your shower and still charged me $4100. I also hired them to repair the plumbing to my washing machine, which they did, however when I had people come to quote replacing my shower they said the pipe was installed to stick out beyond the studs. so I'm either stuck having someone redo that simple job or have this company come back out to reroute the piping. They left me with no shower and a job that requires rework. This is the after picture, showing the quality of what they said was a completed job worth $4100. Don't trust them with your home.

We spent approximately $18,000 on a new HVAC unit last fall, and it’s been a nightmare ever since. Within the first month, there was a gas leak near the basement unit’s shut-off valve. The company blamed Spire, but it was clearly their fault—the technician failed to properly tighten the fittings. They promised to check it “in a few days,” which was far from urgent. This summer, the unit was incorrectly wired, causing it to freeze up, and I’m concerned about potential long-term damage from their mistakes. Now, with the season changing, the system isn’t heating properly. The service and response from this company have been consistently terrible.
