My husband has a complicated case, and after a very bad experience with our previous lawyer, we decided to switch. This time we wanted to choose carefully, so we took our time researching—websites, reviews, and social media of immigration lawyers in CT. Since you usually can’t speak with them without paying for a consultation, we narrowed it down to the top four we found and pay for a consult: three in CT and one in NY. Attorney James Welcome seems the best option for our case. He replied to my email immediately, called me, and asked questions to make sure they could actually help us even before charging for a consultation—something very rare. The consultation itself was clear, to the point, and he explained both pros and cons. He was patient, kind, and exactly what we were looking for. Other consultations were disappointing—some lawyers rushed through, quoting prices before even giving answers; one called 15 minutes late and hadn’t even read our case, only repeating what the documents already said. I know how hard it is to find someone who doesn’t just take your money, but actually take your case seriosly and fix the problem. That’s why I’ll update this review in a few months. For now, I truly believe this firm is the best option for anyone needing immigration help.
