  One star rating from a *former client* And a one star rating from, Charles Obi, the person who paid her and she worked with as well. The family, as a whole, was disappointed with her services. Funny how things worked out for the better after she took it upon herself to withdraw from my case before accomplishing anything. She withdrew because the judge asked me directly did I have a question in court. I did because Ms. McClain did not know how to communicate with me effectively and respectfully. She seemed to be very upset by this and stormed out of the courtroom before we were dismissed. Everyone in court was shocked and confused about her lack of self-control and the reasoning of her actions. Speaking over me when the judge addressed me and leaving a client before the judge. Her response to only low ratings speak for itself. She still insists I received legal advice from Durham Courts when it was in fact the sheriff's department, in another county, who gave me information. The same exact info I tried to communicate to her many occasions but she refused to hear me out and was very rude. This is what was needed to help my case and it did, after Ms. McClain did me a favor and withdrew. I had to request a change to the order that I needed, myself, because Ms. McClain refused to do so while she was still hired as my attorney. After I had asked her many times. I am still left wondering did she try to sabotage my case & purposely prolong it or does she really not know what she is doing. What I asked of her was very simple, so simple that I got it done without her help. I would hate for someone to hire her for a more difficult matter.

  Her firm is very thorough and attentive to their clients needs. I had lost confidence in legal assistance prior to working with Laurice. I love her work ethic, drive and integrity.
