LaRomas was the heart of town with open beer at many hours, Could always meet interesting people out on the street in front and Pizza always at the ready. The owner was fed up with running it for 20 years, and when the church was arsoned he said "That's it!" and closed at the top. LaRomas Google has not been updated since Covid. Dekalb has become quite the dull street now. You will have to go to Beer Deli across from McDonalds to be asked for change and to sell your spare tires to someone now.

I happened upon La Roma while I was travelling. From the outside, the storefront looked older, but kind of classic so I decided to give it a chance.
Inside, things quickly changed. The appearance is rough and it is clear things haven't been maintained. Despite having a seating area, they were take out only because the restroom wasn't functional. They are also cash only. Its definitely one of those rough neighborhood type places.
That said, the cheesesteak I got was actually rather good, and fairly priced, so no complaints there. Overall, if all you need is a decent sandwich to go, La Roma will get the job done.

They would not deliver less then 2 miles away, and the rep hung up as soon as I stated my address.
