Winery
Lancaster Estate is dedicated to crafting wines that are estate grown, produced and bottled. Situated at the southern tip of Alexander Valley, near the confluence of the Knights Valley and Chalk Hill appellations, the 53-acre estate includes vineyards planted to Bordeaux varieties, a state-of-the-art winery and caves dug into the hillside adjoining the winery. Lancaster Estate is a certified California Sustainable Vineyard & Winery and employs farming and winemaking techniques to maintain the integrity of the wines origins.
The estate crafts limited production wines made exclusively from classic Bordeaux varieties – Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Sauvignon Blanc – singularly identifiable as Lancaster Estate.

- CEChelsea EatonApr 28, 20255.0I had an absolutely wonderful tasting experience at Lancaster with a couple of colleagues. The wines were outstanding, and the charcuterie board paired perfectly with them. Our host, Michael, was incredibly knowledgeable while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming despite it being a very high-end winery. He really made the experience even more enjoyable than I could have hoped for, and I can’t imagine a better person to have hosted us! He was able to convey so much information in a way that was both interesting and easy to understand, and he gave us his full attention for the duration of our visit. We tasted in their beautiful library in the cave, which added a unique and memorable touch. I would highly recommend visiting Michael at Lancaster to anyone looking for a top-notch wine tasting!
