  Went through booking.com..That began the journey of many links and different companies and information over the internet that I was not comfortable with..tried to contact the owner, IN which Noone could, so I tried to cancel sensing a scam and no one would..in the end after over 70 hours of talking between booking.com, through hostfully and Lakecation vacations no one helped me..Or could confirm through the property my reservation..but Lakecation Vacations took my money even though I canceled and I saw my dates were posted available again on there site before the reservation dates..so sad how many lies I've been told through the entire process..I will never use any of these sites ever again..please don't risk your large amounts of money..I travel quite often and I truly got scammed

  Used this company this past weekend for our softball tournament in the ozarks. Had to emergency book with these guys off vrbo due to my other rentals ac went out. Booked it Thursday evening for Friday through sunday and confirmed it by email with them that night. About 950am Friday when I had already left I received an email from them saying that the room was double booked and that the person who was there couldn't leave early(I wouldn't either if I were them) but the email said they are going to upgrade me to a different location for no change in price. I replied saying that is perfectly fine! Get there and my kid played 2 games, I received the check in instructions and address. Get to the location given at about 930 or so. Its an abandoned building in the four seasons property that has 2 active rooms being used as rentals. Finally find it and struggle with the keypad to get in. Got in and there is luggage and stuff everywhere!! They sent me the welcome info and codes for the place that was double booked. I'm glad no one was in there at that time because if it was me and someone was entering my place things would have ended up very badly!!! Its ridiculous to think that a company messed up so bad as to put mine and the occupants life in that kind of danger. I would be so upset if I was the occupant of that room. Called immediately after I walked in that room. They were quick to answer but not too quick to get me the info for the place I was actually supposed to be at. I thought I had been scammed. Finally after about 25 minutes in limbo I received the correct address and codes to access it. There needs to be a little more attention to detail on their part. That night could have changed 2 families lives in a very bad way

  If you want your vacation ruined with your kids crying use these hacks. The host double-booked our lakeside house at Lake of the Ozarks, by taking a private reservation and not changing the availability on Airbnb or VRBO. We booked via Airbnb, only to find the house occupied upon arrival. The host falsely claimed they canceled our reservation weeks earlier, despite no communication and even responding to my boat launch inquiry a week before the trip. Attached is proof of the host canceling our reservation three hours after our scheduled check-in time.

  Lakecation Vacation is a great company to work with! Jennifer was so helpful and was able to answer all of our questions and help us figure out what rental would work out best for us. We will definitely be working with them again.
