Lace Alterations fitted me for my wedding gown and I can’t say enough about them. We had as many appointments as needed until my wedding dress fit perfectly. My dress fit me like an absolute glove. I would 100% recommend this place.
I was recommended this place by Wedding Angels Bridal across the street. Many people raved about this place, but make sure you read the low star reviews as well. Be mindful of the pricing. I brought my wedding dress in to be hemmed, bustled, taken in at the bust, and adjust the straps. It was EXTREMELY expensive. My mom and I were absolutely shocked. Even another bride in there at the same time as me told them she was going somewhere else because it was way more than she was looking to spend. I wish I had done the same, but unfortunately I didn't have the time to find another place.
For the basic alterations (hem, bustle, bust tightening, and straps) we paid $1,300. We were absolutely sick. I understand alterations being expensive, as I worked in bridal before, but my friend went somewhere else for her dress recently and only spent $500 for the same alterations, and it looked just as good, if not better.
Lace Alterations did a lovely job on my dress, but it was not a job that necessarily looked like it was $1300. My hem was uneven (just the front part, where my feet walk was too long), so I tripped over my dress the whole wedding day. The straps had to be adjusted a certain way, and they didn't lay evenly on both sides. Only I would notice that, but still. Pricing like this should be close to perfect work.
Oh, but they did throw in free gown pressing/steaming (only if you spend at least $1,000). That was nice, but we are just upset about the cost either way.
If you are going for BASIC alterations, I would find somewhere else. If you are going for custom work, this might be the place for you, as that seems to be their specialty, and the pricing would make more sense.

So happy with my dress! They did great putting the lace back on and making sure it fit comfortably. She paid close attention to detail, and even did a steam press on it before we left. Yes, it was expensive, but they do most of this by hand, and these are wedding dresses after all, so I feel like the prices are fair for the time and detailed work they put into the alterations. My dress is mostly lace, and she was able to literally remove it and put it all back on to shorten it. You can't even tell it was removed at any point, so I'm very impressed with how well it turned out. I only required 1 follow up try on, as it didn't need any additional adjustments. I would definitely recommend Lace alterations! The woman who altered my dress was super sweet and upfront about pricing. She was dedicated to making sure I was happy and that my dress was comfortable and fit properly ☺️
I had a wonderful experience!! They are very knowledgeable, personable & helpful. I bought a wedding jacket that was backless with beautiful sleeves and a beautiful front. Shirim was able to completely "create a back" to my dress!!! Amazing work!!!! Forever grateful!!!
This was such a hard, mixed review for me. TLDR: customer service was absolutely atrocious, but my dress fits perfectly.
I read a lot of these reviews before booking my appointment, and was on the fence. I really am not a bride that is too controlling or rude, especially because my engagement was only 5 months. I knew there were many things I needed to be go with the flow. When I called to make my appointment, the receptionist/front desk was pretty snippy (they were having an issue with their site). I explained I had no familiarity with alterations, let alone for a wedding dress, and she told me to budget around $400.
When I was at my appointment, she began cutting without my okay, just a "close your eyes". When it was time to checkout, my total was $900 (yes, I am now aware this is "standard" in the wedding industry), and needed to step out to call my fiance since this was out of budget. Again, front desk was SO RUDE and snippy.
When I went back for my fitting, the front desk lady was even more rude! I had a glitch in my calendar and missed the appointment. I was SO grateful they rebooked me, but she was so rude saying "Do you understand you have to show up on time? Do YOU understand?" like I was 5 years old.
We obviously paid and the dress fits great, but for a place serving brides and something that is supposed to be a fun and great experience but was filled with anxiety and shame from poor customer service.
I wouldn't *not* recommend this place, but if you are looking overall for a pleasant experience, maybe look elsewhere.
