Purchased a chair, 2 tables, and a lamp. Took about 6 weeks to receive everything. Great quality, highly satisfied with our purchase.
The review is specifically related to a power rocker recliner with lumbar support bought at the Midlothian VA store on Nov 9, 2024. The chair broke on Sep 18th 2025. After numerous calls and a visit to the store, no service has been provided. I bought the chair for 3 separate health reasons, cervical fusion, lumbar discectomy and Total Knee Replacement. It cost well over $2,000 and I got an extended warranty. This chair only lasted 10 months. No one at La-z-Boy has repaired the chair, nor have they provided an exchange. Their customer service after sales is pathetic, as there is none. My chair broke on Sep 18 2025, and I informed that day. The soonest they can repair the chair by a contracted company is October 29th, almost a month and a half. This is totally unacceptable! Over a month to repair a chair I need for health reasons. DON’T shop at La-z-Boy!!! Their products are junk and they have an inadequate process for repair. They will not offer an exchange for the chair still within the 1 year warranty.

These chairs are the worst purchase I have made in my life. In the showroom they were really comfortable but the ones I received are not the same. Construction is cheap and no notches in frame bottom for cords to go under. Just horrible and I curse about them everyday

I can't tell you how much you need to avoid this store/company. But I'll try. Tl'drr: you'll overpay, have to drive delivery, get incomplete'broken material on arrival; and have to navigate outsourced "repairs". Three out of our four chairs remain unusable five months after purchase.
The gory details: We went to the store earlier this year to buy arm chairs. We found some and went to buy them. At the check-out we were relentlessly upsold/nickle and dimed to the point that they wanted to charge us more for a handle! We drew the line and said we'd walk away, to which the employee replied "oh that's unfortunate".
Determined to buy American even at grossly inflated prices, we tried again in May. They were supposed to arrive in 6 to 8 weeks and we were supposed to receive a call to set up delivery. After eight and a half weeks without receiving a call, we contacted the Lazy Boy store and were told that the chairs had in fact been in the warehouse for several weeks, but no one called to set up delivery. We set up delivery which ended up taking three more weeks only to receive the chairs with obvious defects. These turned out to be a tip of the iceberg as at least two of the chairs had mechanical defects due to poor manufacturing. It's taken more than six weeks now and the chairs are still broken. We first had to do a virtual repair consultation, which shockingly revealed that the virtual tech couldn't magically fix it. Then the store set up a second repair, this time in person, but he didn't show. Nor did anyone call. We ended up calling and were told that the tech had injured himself. Then the store sent another independent contractor who found that two of the chairs were never bolted to the frame and the mechanics in a third chair were bent so it won't recline. The swivel rocker base for the first two defective chairs needs to be replaced because they are crooked and broken. They cannot be repaired. So here we are now approaching five months after order with three of the four chairs unusable. La Z Boy refuses to extend the warranty and frankly we no longer want that. These chairs are absolutely defective and we want our money refunded as we view this sort of practice as beyond inept and bordering on fraud.
Wasn’t given the option for no stars so I settled for 1 star. Through the years we have purchased a lot of furniture and never have we been so disappointed in our recent purchase at La Z Boy of Greenville. We purchased a two piece couch and love seat. From day of delivery we have been beyond disappointing in the comfort of the love seat. Upon complaining they sent a service person four different times. That made things worse since he was obviously trained what to say and make us feel like it was us not the furniture. That didn’t work on us. We made trips to the store and spoke with management and that all turned out to be a waste of time. Finally the store manager told us she turned it over to corporate so there was nothing else she could do. How convenient for management. I proceeded to email CEO of the company. After a month of no reply I wrote again. You guessed it no reply. We strongly feel that she is obviously a big part of the problem. Don’t ignore your customers as it will haunt you financially. Just do yourself a favor and choose another brand to purchase. If they don’t try to help us out we will be forced to dump it and look for something else. $5800.00 down the drain. Good luck in your next furniture purchase.
