Located in the heart of Portland in John’s Landing, we are proud to serve the Multnomah, Sellwood – Moreland, Burlingame and Hillsdale communities. - EWEsther WestbrookDec 7, 20245.0Sending our daughter to L'Etoile French Immersion School is easily one of the best decisions we have ever made! We are not a French-speaking family, and it's been amazing to see our daughter go in as a kindergartener with no knowledge, and now in fourth grade, speaking pretty much like a native. Beyond the French aspect, the other parts of L'Etoile curriculum are excellent and we feel confident she is receiving a top notch education. Class sizes are very small and each child receives a lot of individual attention. All of the teachers are dedicated, caring, and happy to be there. The only complaint we have about L'Etoile is that it ends at fifth grade!

It’s a fantastic value and down to earth. From the affordable after school program, to the field trips and charming park + school house setting, have made the last 5 years at L’Etoile gold standard. If you are exploring options, as someone who also did a tremendous amount of research as a parent, make sure to include the upper school and lower preschool on your tour list.
- BPBeverly PearmanSep 17, 20165.0L'Etoile is a wonderful school and community. Our daughter started there in pre-K in 2014 and enjoys going to school each day. The teachers and staff are caring, knowledgeable and supportive. The French curriculum provides a very well-rounded education offering the basics as well music, art, and sports. It's been amazing watching her develop into a confident student and fluent French speaker. Her father and I don't speak French, but L'Etoile provides great resources that allow us to help her at home. We are so happy we made the choice to send her to L'Etoile!
- JMJoelle MayoAug 4, 20165.0L'Etoile is, quite simply, an incredible school where our daughter has learned to be an artist, a reader, a math whiz, and most importantly to us, fluent in French! Our daughter is so happy to go to school everyday, and we have been extremely impressed with the teachers, staff and the facilities of the school. Not only are the teachers caring and attentive to the needs of the children, but the curricula is comprehensive and very organized. I will also say after researching all of the options in our area, L'Etoile has a very reasonable tuition and they do not fundraise on top of that which is not something that I have experienced in other schools.
