Underwhelmed with the menu. 3 of 5 pastas were spaghetti. Margarita pizza, asparagus and steak were good. But everything was overpriced.

This was my first time visiting the Long Beach location, my wife and I have previously visited the Hollywood location and the original location in Naples, Italy. I must admit, my wife and I are huge fans of the original and we really wanted to try the California locations. So when we visited the Hollywood location, we were a bit disappointed with the quality of the food. Granted, it should not be compared to the original as it has its own different menu and its own unique charm. But it lacked in some areas. Now, last week we were in California and we stopped by the Long Beach location with some friends. I was skeptical but found the food to be better than the Hollywood location, but it was still missing something. We ordered the marguerita pizza and we felt like it had too much cheese and it distracted from the rest of the pizza. My wife had the pasta and it was delicious, but our friends, who also had a marguerita and a diavola were not very impressed either. I think it should be balanced a little more so that we get to enjoy all the flavors. I have to say the service was great, very attentive staff. Would I recommend this place? I think it's worth a try but I do feel like both California locations need a little bit more to live up to the name.

Overall it was a great experience, despite a couple of not so great things. I waited at the bar for my friend to arrive and ordered a drink. The bartender was not friendly at all and the old fashioned was very bland (for $18 I expect much better!). I don't recall the name of the appetizer we order, but it had some fried veggies, calamari and shrimp, etc. it had no flavor and they didn't even remove the tail shells from the shrimp. We had to pick out shells from our mouth. Our main pasta dishes were phenomenal!! The best part was our waiter. I forgot his name (Dusha ?? , a Serbian gentleman). He was first class! Very friendly, knew the menu, excellent wine pairing recommendations. He's the only reason I gave 4 star instead of 3. The restaurant was also clean and relaxing atmosphere and had outdoor seating as well. (Date of visit: 10/9 at 5pm). Please address the bartender attitude!

They have the best pizza Napoletana we have had outside of Italy: the pesto pizza. Ambiance is great and the service staff are awesome. We always have a great dining experience and talk about coming back all the time.

Party of four. Everyone left disappointed not understanding the great reviews. Service was good, but the food just did not deliver. Caesar salad had a nice crisp, but it has radicchio so be aware it has a slight bitter taste to it while the dressing lacks depth. The salami on the diavola pizza was good, but overall, it didn’t stand out and we did not even finish it. Fritto misto was such a small portion and did not come with any shrimp as listed in the menu. It was probably the best thing we had though and very fresh. Cacio e Pepe was the reason we wound up here in the first place because I’d been craving some. I was left disappointed while others in the party said it was the best dish out of everything. We also ordered a side of broccolini and there were pieces in there that were literally cold. I’m not sure at what point we exchanged the look of “I don’t get it,” but we definitely wouldn’t return nor recommend it to anyone. The inside is also very different than we expected. Has a more cafeteria feel to it than cozy like the outside suggests. If you’re someone like us who’s been meaning to try them, just order one pizza or dish to share and see how you feel. Otherwise you’ll leave with having overspent and just disappointed.
