  Went in on Halloween and the vibes were off. Not usual for KOAN. My budtender was very sweet and informed me that they were all upset over their favorite manager getting fired. Hope everything’s ok. I want to come back but I don’t know. This put a bad taste in my mouth :(

  In and out! The doorman informed me about some great deals they were running, I placed my order and then a beautiful-mess of a woman named Claudia took care of me. In between her giggles and snorts (with a consistently warm smile) she got me rung up and out and had me laughing and smiling the whole time. Great place.

  It’s not a 1 star because of the staff, we love the staff they are so nice and amazing it’s a 1 star because of ownership of this “business” first you get drunk on opening day of Koan and then at the after party at the brewery you don’t care that their is a gun in the bathroom instead you get angry and fire half the staff. Now the brewery is on probation and the owners of this place are horrible. Threatening staff with physical violence is crazy. Do better !

  This place has become my new go to dispensary. With the vast selection of products, overall knowledge/friendliness of staff, the very clean/beautiful building, and to top it off daily specials what’s there not to enjoy!? My one and only complaint is when you use a card they round up your total as if it were an ATM withdrawal (very common at dispensaries and not the issue) and then are supposed to give you back the difference in cash. The last time I was there I walked out completely forgetting that, and didn’t receive the difference in cash back. The woman at the register was new and visibly trying to do her best, and clearly I should have recognized before walking out which is why I’m still leaving a 5 star review. Thank you to all the amazing Koan staff, can’t wait to come back!

  Excellent new dispensary in the Hagerstown area. The atmosphere is nice, with product visible and friendly accessible staff. Today Nick availed himself very well as we dealt with a small series of technical glitches. While that was being worked on I observed the rest of the employees/transactions going on and frankly I liked what I saw. The staff from the font door/ID check to the budtenders and through to the manager who had to step out for a tech issue were friendly, engaged, and just seemed to give a damn. That makes a huge difference. Everyone in there was getting excellent service. The product is going to be the same you can get anywhere else, the deals rotate, weed is weed and all ya know. I'm gonna keep going to Koan because the atmosphere and staff make it the kind of place I want to get my weed from.
