Just back from New York and we stayed at the Kixby Hotel for 4 nights. From check in to check out this hotel impressed us. We are 4 adults staying in 2 queen rooms. We were on the 7th floors and there is enough lifts not to be waiting long too get in one. Our room had a smaller footprint than the other but good enough for our stay. The location is superb. Subway just outside the Hotel and it is on a one way street. Time square is easy to walk to. You can get there in 15-20 minutes if walk there without stopping at any of the shops or cafes. Rooms are clean and modern as is the rest of the Hotel. Hotel bar quite dark and not too busy during our stay. Free tea coffe and water 24hours on the 2nd floor (free water bottles given at check in) There is a good choice of places to eat either side of the Hotel and the best one is accessable from inside the Hotel. Even though the roof bar was closed during our stay we sat up there with drinks from the hotel bar which we enjoyed. Could not get any closer to the Empire state building. If ever we return to New York this is where we would stay again.
In its price tier, this is the best midtown hotel I’ve experienced. No pets, no smoking, huge rooms, great friendly and helpful staff. 24/7 complimentary water and coffee. Great location. To boot, it’s tastefully renovated, great shower and it’s relatively quiet-don’t hear doors slamming.

Clean hotel with simple amenities and friendly staff. Centrally located with easy access to subway stops, shopping, and restaurants. We were impressed with how quiet the room was, with very few disturbances from other guests or traffic/city noises, despite being so close to the street.
Amazing hotel right in the centre of a busy new york, 2 minute walk to macy’s and about 10/15 to times square. Hotel super clean however we did find dirty towels in our fridge which we left out for the cleaner the next day, she then put them back in the fridge 🙈🙈 The lifts are very busy in the morning so sometimes you just have to take the stairs (or wait for 10 minutes) however overall a great hotel with great views and friendly staff!
It was first time in NYC and so happy we stayed here! Perfect location close to Macy’s and the subway. Our first room a bit loud as was overlooking the road, I mentioned to reception we were moved immediately. Comfy bed and pillows which is so needed after a busy day! We got a water bottle to use in the refreshment room which had cold water dispensers, coffee (pretty good!) and teas. The bar service and food were good. Just a little disappointed the roof bar was closed for the season (22nd Sept) but you could still get up there to see the Empire State in all its glory. We’d absolutely stay again!
