The Kinney staff has always been polite and helpful. I have had to wait a couple of times but the pharmacy was packed! They were still polite, helpful and maintained their composure. I prefer Kinneys to other pharmacies in this area!

I really wish I could give them more stars but I just can't. They are better than Walgreens downtown but that's not saying much 😕

WHAT HAPPENED THIS WEEKEND?!?!?!?! Not just odd hours, but an incredibly rude employee was left to explain the situation! I've been a loyal customer of Kinney Drugs, Berlin VT, for years, and find the Pharmacy Staff to be consistently friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, even going well out of their way to help a customer in need. Their hours are usually great, but something went awry this weekend. The Pharmacy portion of the store was closed, gated, and the lights were out when I got there WELL before 6 P.M. on Saturday. Therefore, I called the Pharmacy line at 5:35 P.M. on Sunday, just to make sure that they were open before I made the 10 minute drive, only to be informed by the phone message that the Pharmacy had already closed! At 5:35!!! My daughter was told just last week that the Pharmacy was open until 8:30 on Saturdays, and while I know that they DO close at 6 on Sundays, 5:35 is NOT 6:00! However, things do happen, and I'm sure that there was a good reason for these early closings - BUT - the blond employee at the front register on Saturday (the register indicated that her name was Jen) was INCREDIBLY RUDE about the entire matter when several poeple, myself included, asked why the Pharmacy had closed early, She insisted that it had ALWAYS closed at 6:00 on both Saturdays and Sundays, and when I pointed out that it was not yet 6:oo she simply stated that she had no idea what time it was! When another customer then said that he had just checked the website and that it had said that the Pharmacy would be open until 8:30 that evening, she said, and I quote, "the hours posted on the Kinney's website mean nothing as they are just from the main office." I'm quite sure that the "main office," not to mention the store management, would be horrified by this! I also pointed out to her (very politely, despite her attitude - which wasn't easy, but I was not going to sink to her level) that the Easter Lilies on the front counter were desperately in need of water, but she COMPLETELY IGNORED ME - even when I repeated myself a second time, as I assumed that she hadn't heard me the first time. But again, no response of any kind. As another reviewer said, some poeple just shouldn't work in Customer Service, and she is definitely one of those people. This was not the first time that I'd had an encounter with her that had left me utterly baffled by her rudeness, and I know of others who have had the same experience with her. On several prior occasions she has been just as rude to me as she was on Saturday evening, but under the circumstances I feel that this was the most outrageous! When the Pharmacy portion of a store closes early, people cannot get medications that may be needed immediately, but rather than being apologetic on behalf of the Pharmacy, or at least empathetic about our plight, she was just plain rude, and for whatever reason, she felt it was appropriate to out and out lie about the Pharmacy's hours! That is NOT Customer Service!

Where to begin. The store itself is fantastic. Never had a problem and staff are friendly. The pharmacy however, thats another story. Linda. Avoid Linda. She is the most disrespectful and rude customer service rep in a pharmacy that I have ever had the dishonor of dealing with! She was discriminating due to my insurance provider. God forbid people have Medicaid. Made me come in from the drive through so it didn’t hold up customers which still ended up holdong up the ones inside. She then copped an attitude with a snide tone when I confronted her poor service skills. Took her sweet time. It shouldn’t take an hour to reimburse me cash for a prior transaction on medication. Started inquiring about my involvement with the gentleman I was handling business for. Happens to be that he is my fiancé. It also happens to be that he is on my insurance plan as part of my household. Snidly states she needs his permission as I repeat yet again we called in advance and he gave it to her prior. Low and behold its written on the script bag. Continues with the attitude and disrespectful dimeaner until I demand to speak with Steven, her boss on Monday. The nice lady at the customer service entrance in front took my information and will address him for me as well on Sunday. She said this woman is rude and disrespectful to everyone she has encountered and it isn’t the first complaint she has heard. I look forward to speaking to him. Some people shouldn’t work in customer service! If you need a pharmacy, choose rite aid!
