  My family visited Kilwins this past week. The staff was friendly and the ice cream was good. However, I'm not sure we'd go back. The prices for their candy/chocolate items were not labeled accurately and quite frankly, not worth the price. Signage for cherry cordials stated one cordial was about $1.60. We were charged $3.20 for ONE relatively small cordial. Also, we purchased a piece of dark chocolate cherry bark. The chocolate was very dark, which I usually love, but it just didn't taste fantastic, especially for $8+ price tag for a 2x3 inch piece. Plus, there was a cherry pit in the bark. My other concern was one staff members had their hair down, rather than tied back or covered, which is a health department rule.

  The ice cream was great! Service was very good. We did buy a couple pretzels, roughly $10 worth, but when we got home and ate them, they were stale.

  I’ve been to several kilwins over the years. This one really is skimpy on the scoops. $7 for about half of a regular scoop. Pretty disappointing. Also, about 6 ice cream flavors were out. I was so excited to see a kilwins so close to home…but I guess I’ll just keep it as a treat when I’m at the beach or the mountains.
