I ( Jerry ) went in at nine o'clock at night On a Wednesday night after spending approximately fourteen hours in the hospital to order a bucket of chicken to go. The bill came to forty six dollars and some change. I did not have my debit cards or credit cards with me as I was in the hospital , so I tried to pay with a hundred dollar bill. The guy looked at me totally confused and after about five minutes called his manager lady. She looks at it for a few minutes And said we do not have change, pay with something smaller.I said I do not have anything smaller and that is all I had. I asked her, you're telling me.You do not have fifty three dollars and change in your float after being open till now , which was nine pm. . She said she did not have any change and would not take my money. I made a complaint and another customer was there that had just finished paying 30.00 + dollars cash for his meal.( customer stated that they do this to him all the time ). The manager blatantly told me to take my money and go somewhere else. How disappointing, as this was the location closest to my residence . We could have ordered from Skip the dishes etc , when I got home and paid with debit/ credit, but out of disdain, I refused to give this particular branch my hard earned money as I was treated so very poorly.
I was then forced to drive over 50 blocks one way to the other KFC location, totally out of the way. I knew this location would take my orde, as i used to live in the area. . I went there , ordered the exact same thing, paid with the exact same one hundred dollar bill and got my order and my fifty three dollar + change with zero problems. I do not in any way shape or form recommend this restaurant to anybody in the near future or thereafter, as service is a key component, this is most valued in restaurant customer service. I will never associate my business with this particular location. What an absolute disappointment to the KFC Brand
