- BRBoise RoDec 16, 20241.0Scammy promotions. First it was buy 2 get 1 free, then when saw the crazy cost for 3 keys so I tried to cancel order at which point was offered a new “please don’t leave” 33% off discount. Only problem? It go rid of the buy 2 get 1 free promo. So same exact cost, which at $7+ per key is absurdly high. Plus they want another $3 just to get the metal burrs off the keys (failing to do this might mess up your locks so should always be in base cost of a key).

As it happened, I went into Rite Aid for some other items and stumbled upon the "KeyMe" kiosk. It would be very helpful to supply the businesses that are carrying your kiosk with some outside signage. Also, Rite Aid is totally "missing the boat" on sales of key accessories. They do not have any! I went down the street to a hardware store to buy key chains and more. Other than that, the kiosk was very easy to use. And all my keys worked without the additional $1.99 polishing feature.

First I searched for a brick and mortar lock smith store and drove 3 times the distance from my house to get a key made. I had a spare copy made as well. When I got home neither key worked.
