Came an hour later than they said, and they wanted $300 for essentially 2 bike locks. And I can't understand anyone at their call center

AVOID THIS SCAM. Locked myself out. We're quick to show up. But this is a total and complete scam. The charges for the service of unlocking a car should not exceed $300.00 even with a travel fee. Conveniently, their card reader wasn't working, so they only took cash. Beware of this company. The number provided on the Google map information is incorrect, so it sends you straight into the scam instead of the actual company listed KeyMe. Verify the number.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! 100% Scam This was hands-down one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with any service provider. First of all, they refused to give me a price over the phone and insisted that someone had to come out in person to "assess the vehicle"—(a blatant setup to pressure customers on the spot.) After a couple minutes we were able to get in our car on our own with out there help. Called to let them know not to come. But it gets worse. They charged my credit card without authorization way over the $29 fee for travel / cancelation?! Never provided a clear breakdown of the costs. No receipt? no invoice? was told I needed to sign a settlement form to get the difference back?! That is theft, plain and simple. I was shocked to see extra charges that were never discussed, agreed upon, or approved. The next day a $500 withdrawal was tried threw a cash app luckily it was caught seems like you have some people stealing from your customers to much of a coincidence I would look into that. The customer service? Absolutely horrendous. Rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. Whoever is training these people seriously needs to reevaluate their approach to communication and ethics. The whole operation feels like a scam with zero regard for honesty or professionalism. Avoid at all costs. There are plenty of reputable locksmiths out there—this is NOT one of them.

The technician was very rude t9 me the entire time. I could not believe how he treated me. He said it would be $60 to $80 plus the service call of $29. It took him less than 2 minutes and he charged ne $88. (SHOULD HAVE BEEN $60.) Plus $29, Plus taxes, Plus card fees. Then he YELLED at me on the phone when I tried to ask questions about the total cost because it wasn't adding up in my mind. He was so rude!

I accidentally locked my keys in the car on a hot day — with my dog inside — and called KeyMe in a panic. They responded quickly, which I truly appreciated, and they were able to unlock my car without causing any damage. Pros: Arrived promptly and did not damage the vehicle Cons: I was not informed ahead of time about the multiple additional fees. The base price to unlock the car was $275, but I was also charged $39.90 for the service call, $9.76 as a "service fee," and $15.75 in tax — bringing the total to a staggering $340.41. The technician initially said they didn’t accept Apple Pay, but then couldn’t get enough signal to process my card and asked if I could actually pay with Apple Pay — or else go find an ATM. He repeatedly told me to "just submit the receipt to your insurance — they’ll reimburse you," which felt like a rehearsed line for customers who are shocked by the price. Spoiler alert: most insurance companies do not reimburse for lockout services unless you have specific roadside coverage. Bottom line: Yes, they got me back into my car quickly. But I paid an outrageous amount for it, and the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Make sure you ask about the full cost upfront — and don’t expect your insurance to cover it.
