- ESEric StormApr 24, 20253.0My review is based on a few different things. The convenience of the my key machine is great. The keys work fine. That is why they got three stars. Otherwise, I had a key that they could not copy same day so they wanted to mail it. I needed it same day, so I went to a kiosk in a grocery store ad they where able to cut it in less time than the machine and for cheaper. Not only that. The keys I had already cut on the key me machine were also cheaper to have cut at e kiosk by about a dollar a piece. And the keys are stronger with more options for colors, size, and style. The Key me keys are a cheap lightweight aluminum feeling key. The kiosk keys in the store are far stronger and a bit cheaper with more options. I will not be using the key me machine again unless it is an emergency.

I got locked out, so they sent over technicians who immediately damaged the doorframe instead of attempting to simply pick the lock, and from there spent the next hour breaking the doorknob, which meant I had little choice even if I was able to get a key. After they finally were able to break the doorknob apart enough to get the door open, they told me that all I had to do was replace the doorknob, and only later after I replaced the doorknob and lock did I realize that they had broken the doorframe enough that I couldn't even close the door completely. When I called to get a full refund, I was offered a 15% refund (totaling $40, pretty insulting) and for them to send someone out to fix my door frame. Beyond the offensive offer of a meager refund, why would I want another one of their technicians to come out and potentially make the problem worse? So only after repeatedly complaining were they able, apparently, to give me a 70% refund.... and even then, I was told that a manager would call me back. That was nearly an hour ago. Avoid this business like the plague.

Person came out and spent 10 minutes to repair the front door then charged me 400 dollars without getting approval for the work first. Scammy & horrible value.
