That said, I'm giving 2 stars because this does not feel like a legitimate and honest business, it feels like a scam to take advantage of people in a bad situation. My key fob stopped working and my wife and I were stranded in a parking garage in downtown Dallas on a Saturday night. I searched for a locksmith near by and the list was long. I had no clue who to call or how to choose. I chose this one and was at their mercy. They did have someone call me back quickly. They did show up within 20 minutes. That is all great. Then he proceeds to tell me there is a $120 fee for driving there and $189 fee to unlock the truck. Over $300 to just unlock the truck. $120 to show up within 20 minutes? It immediately felt like we were being taken advantage of. We told him we just couldn't spend that much to unlock the truck, especially being that he was in the area. We even asked if the simple unlock was not included in the $120. He told us he had to speak to his manager, but never did that. He immediately dropped the price to $200? We felt like he had our backs against the wall so we just paid it so we could get home. He proceeded to unlock the truck. It literally took him about 2 minutes. The shadiest part of all of this was he gave us his personal number to Zelle the funds to. It was not a legitimate business in downtown Dallas. It was some guy in a van being brokered out by whoever the people are on the other end of this line. I understand paying for a service and the fact you have the tools that others don't but taking advantage of people in bad situations as opposed to simply doing honest business is just dirty. I would not recommend using this service unless you don't mind haggling with a random person who is clearly trying to maximize their personal profit at your expense in a terrible situation.
