TL;DR: Go to Kaiser Locksmiths instead. At least they will give you an honest and accurate quote. You will also speak to someone that actually intends to have a human conversation with you. UPDATE (4/25/2023): I've updated the review again. I finally had someone from the company reach out to tell me there's nothing they can do because the locksmith is responsible for providing the accurate quote for the services provided. This is a problem for a few reasons: 1) The person that answered the call said they provided me with the complete quote. 2) The locksmith that arrived didn't provide me with any pricing information until AFTER the work was completed. I wasn't given any information before the work even began. Not during the phone call when the visit was scheduled, nor when the locksmith called to let me know he was 5 minutes out. I didn't even get a full quote when the locksmith was in my house. I can't stress enough that YOU NEED TO AVOID SHADY BUSINESSES LIKE THIS ONE. It is absolutely as the old cliche says: the business talks out both sides of their mouth. The customer service line says the locksmith is responsible for everything if there's a problem. If you ask the locksmith, then the customer service line is who to talk to. And if you ask for a quote, each will say the other is responsible, or fail to provide a timely/accurate quote. You're screwed no matter what happens. Save your money and frustration! Go somewhere else! UPDATE (4/20/2023): I’ve decided to update this review. I’m removing a star because the company owner's response clearly has no meaning, and zero good faith attempt to discuss anything whatsoever. I have called the provided service number twice: no dice. The people on the other end of the line just tell me it’s not a customer service line and hang up. What’s the point of calling the number then? I’m waiting to hear back from the email address, and I’ll update again if/when I get an email response. In the meantime, my original review still stands, and I would go so far as to say that, based on the new interaction, I would rate it even lower. There is no meaningful customer service and the company doesn’t want you to be able to talk abut what occurred, to learn from the experience. Definitely avoid if you actually care about customer service and honesty. (4/18/2023) Very mixed feelings here. I called this AM to schedule a time to have a locksmith out to rekey a couple of Schlage locks. The person on the phone, when I asked quite specifically, “how much is it to rekey a couple of Schlage locks?” answered “$80 per lock.” Great! I asked for a full quote and the person on the phone seemed confused. “It’s $80 per lock.” I was then routed to a service person, and I was able to schedule the same day for later this afternoon. What originally was $80/lock on the phone became $120/lock in person. What they also don’t specify, when asked to provide a full quote, is that they charge for the service on top of the cost per lock, and the time it took. The service person had a great deal of trouble, apparently, and so I was charged extra on top of the now inflated price for each lock. While I can’t complain about the work (the locks all work so far), the deception on the phone, and the slow speed of the service person meant everything cost over $100 more than what I was originally quoted over the phone. If you’re looking for a locksmith, I don’t know if you could do worse, but factor a $70 service fee (to just have a locksmith show up), an hourly rate for the locksmith labor on top of that, and a rate of $120/lock for Schlage locks. The original quote of $80 is a lie.
