- MBMarlena Moody BoydJul 12, 20221.0Review I called for a locksmith and when checking my area, prior to taking my payment over the phone, they had me hold whole they “searched for a locksmith in my area.” Shortly thereafter, they confirmed one and took my payment. The first red flag was when they were running my payment and it was declining. I confirmed the amount and verified there was enough money there (note, I ALWAYS use a separate card from my main account so that I can control amounts for online payments, in the event nonsense takes place). She tries again and it says declined…again. I then get a notification that they are attempting to run my card for EXACTLY DOUBLE the amount she quoted me. I told her she’s running it for the wrong price and then she blames it on a computer glitch and suddenly was able to submit for the correct amount. After payment was submitted, I was told I’d be hearing next from the locksmith, and would receive a text from the company where I could “communicate back with them if needed.” Less than 3 minutes later, I receive a text message saying they’re sorry but they couldn’t find one in my area (I thought you checked?) and that my order has been canceled and I would receive my refund within 5 days. A call back to customer support (to verify the conflicting information) confirmed it was indeed cancelled. Thank God I have additional funds to find someone else, but for those with no other means, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Highly disappointed.
