- JJJeffrey Hussinger (JJ)Aug 9, 20252.0I'm sorry to report that I was disappointed with KeyMe Locksmiths. I wanted to make a duplicate key for my front door. I was offered a free third key of I had a second key made so I accepted the offer. It seemed to take an unusual amount of time to cut the keys as I've had keys made much quicker at hardware stores. That would have been fine except when I got home and tried the keys, only one of the three child copied keys unlocked the door. I tried the other two keys several times but they would not unlock the door. I used my original key to unlock the door. I inspected the keys that wouldn't work with the original and what I found was that the key cuts lined up with the original, but the keys that wouldn't work were slightly shorter then the original and most likely didn't extend far enough into the lock to trip the mechanism. I've never before experienced a copied key that was shorter than the original which caused it to not work and considering the 3 keys cost $24.78 it was a poor value for only receiving one working key.
