- LHLaura HollandOct 18, 20251.0False advertising “local number” connects you to a 1-800 number, the advertising picture shows locksmiths at peoples cars like a lockout service, the ones that are supposed local…. that are available in Coeur d’Alene area is Kiosk machine where you can make duplicates of keys, Not a locksmith business If you call the number I called the one that I thought was on Kathleen that’s apparently the kiosk in Fred Meyer guy asked me if I needed help and what The issue was he wasn’t willing to give me a quote until I gave him a location and they sent a tech out to me. I said I need A new key made or an impression for an automatic gate For a driveway where the original key was Misplaced. I told the guy I would call back if we wanted the service but didn’t plan on it since he wouldn’t give me a quote and figured I would have to pay a fee when a tech came to me and they wouldn’t even give me a quote for that!! The guy was Hispanic very very thick accent I could barely understand him he said OK after I said we might call back and then he just hung up. Even though I Told him we would call back if we were interested….he had a service tech call me 20mins later even though there’s no one in our area and said “you’re looking for tech service” (also very broke English) I said Well me and my husband are in the process of trying to figure that out there was a long pause thought he was getting someone who spoke fluent English or could enlighten me on my prior questions maybe typing something in or refer me somewhere else?? No he just hung up on me!!!! If they had an actual Locksmith business here I WOULD NOT go there. Shady business practice! The fact that the tech didn’t speak English well, Hard to have someone come help you Or explain what exactly you need done when you can’t understand each other. And the fact that they wouldn’t even give me a quote for what it would cost I told him what kind of lock if he couldn’t figure it out based off of that or give me a quote based off zip in that they have to come out and then they couldn’t even give me a quote on how much it would cost I’m not gonna pay someone to come out to me and waste my time if they can’t do it. Plus I told the guy at the beginning of the call (When I thought it was on Kathleen) that I Could bring it in instead of paying the who knows what amount to have them come to us since it’s close to me. He said no we come to you I said I’d rather bring it in then pay the fee to have someone come to me. He said No no no we don’t do that

Then told me that Cda 83815 zip code doesn't have coverage, asked about 83814, same response. No locksmith for 83814. I'm not sure how you can service the Cda area but not provide coverage for 83814 or 83815.
