I was asked to cut 2 keys and get the 3rd for free. Well, I didn’t get the 3rd even tho I paid for 2 keys! I feel scammed honestly.

One key didn’t work and the only had keys in stock for the higher prices. I paid $18 for 2 keys. Their customer service was great and they refunded me. They offered another set for free but I declined, as I no longer needed the copies.

TL;DR: Don't bother if you have a modern car with an RFID key. I'm not talking about the ones with pushbuttons for remote unlock (or the even newer ones where you don't even have to insert they key into the steering column), I'm talking about the ones from 15 years ago which have a chip inside the plastic bit at the head that communicates with the vehicle when you insert it into the ignition and turn it to start the engine. I ordered a copy of the key for my 2004 Mazda Miata from the kiosk at my local Jewel. It arrived in the mail four days later. All '01 and later Miatas (like most other cars of that era) came standard with an engine immobilizer that requires an RFID (chip) key which pairs to the ECU. Sadly, despite the fact that KeyMe claims that their car keys "function just like your original," and their kiosk accepted my order without question, , the key which they sent me was just a standard, flat metal key with no RFID. It opens the doors, but is incapable of being paired with the ECU, and therefore, cannot start the engine. I'm giving this a three, rather than a one, as to their credit they did respond quickly when I sent them a photo of what I received next to a photo of an OEM key and a description of the problem, and issued a refund promptly.
