- DPD PDec 1, 20241.0The locksmith is a SCAM! STAY AWAY! Website says prices up front, locksmith told me he would give an estimate before doing anything. Total LIE and SCAM! My daughter accidentally locked us out of our new apartment just hours after moving in last night. My daughter wasn't even wearing shoes and we were stuck not knowing what to do. I called this business and some time later the locksmith shows up. He races to the door, asks my daughter which lock it was, she points to the door knob, then opened the door in less than 30 seconds without ever discussing anything with me or giving me the estimate. Once the door was open he demanded $300 cash, which I said I didn't have. Then he said $260 cashapp right now! I asked him why it was so much and tried to explain that I just moved in amd really didn't have a lot of money. He then said it's because I live in a downtown. I've been sick all night! I never would have agreed to that price if he was honest up front. I literally have a check that is going to bounce Monday morning because of this. I am sick with worry. He took advantage of me and my daughter. This was unfair and NOT AT ALL WHAT YOUR WEBSITE SAYS!
