  I think this is the best Japanese cuisine and sushi place in Milwaukee. I would recommend anyone who likes sushi or Japanese food. I am always surprised by this restaurant not being full and having a waiting list when it's such a good restaurant.

  I’ve supported Kanpai for years, probably a $100 order at least once a month. I will no longer order Kanpai ever again. As a pescatarian of 11 years, there is a trust that a restaurant of this supposed caliber takes dietary restrictions and orders seriously. I very clearly ordered vegetable gyoza and was given and ate pork gyoza. This could make me very ill, but all could be so much worse as this negligence would really hurt someone with severe allergies or illness. Do better. Side note: when I went to pick up the food the hostess was sitting in the corner, back turned to me, scrolling on her phone.. I had to get her attention.. like what
