Sat at the empty bar early Sunday morning not long after open. It wasn't all that busy and my order was simple. I ordered two eggs over easy with a side of bacon and toast. I waited over 30 minutes and had to ask the bartender where my order was. It finally comes out and the eggs are doused in oil. They were so oily that the plate was covered in oil despite my attempts to sop it up with several napkins. They brought me new eggs and by that time my bacon and toast were cold. I don't know how you mess up such a simple order, and ESPECIALLY at these prices. I also ordered an expensive Bloody Mary that contained very little alcohol. Will never come back here.

This was my first time visiting Kanela Breakfast Club, and honestly, I didn’t feel very welcomed upon entering. The food was just okay. I ordered the Spicy Feta Omelette — the flavor was there, but I was expecting some real heat, and it just didn’t deliver. The potatoes were way too salty, to the point that I couldn’t eat them. The restaurant looks nice from the outside, but once inside, the attention to detail is missing. The ambiance feels a bit tired and could use some refreshing to keep up with the times. As I keep seeing across the industry, there seems to be a lack of proper testing and fine-tuning of dishes before they go out — and it really shows here. The vibe overall was just okay. Adjusting the music to set a better tone — something that energizes you instead of overwhelming you — would also really help the atmosphere. On top of that, it felt a bit pricey for what it was. I wanted to love this place, but it fell short for me.
