This was my first time visiting Kanela Breakfast Club, and honestly, I didn’t feel very welcomed upon entering. The food was just okay. I ordered the Spicy Feta Omelette — the flavor was there, but I was expecting some real heat, and it just didn’t deliver. The potatoes were way too salty, to the point that I couldn’t eat them.
The restaurant looks nice from the outside, but once inside, the attention to detail is missing. The ambiance feels a bit tired and could use some refreshing to keep up with the times. As I keep seeing across the industry, there seems to be a lack of proper testing and fine-tuning of dishes before they go out — and it really shows here. The vibe overall was just okay. Adjusting the music to set a better tone — something that energizes you instead of overwhelming you — would also really help the atmosphere.
On top of that, it felt a bit pricey for what it was.
I wanted to love this place, but it fell short for me.
