Nearby a 50-foot granite monument is this small space outlined with stones, marking the location of the home where Joseph Smith, Jr., was born. Some of the stones are from the home's original doorstep.
This was worth stopping and visiting. The lady at the center was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She made the effort to help my kids feel comfortable. Very interesting place and so beautiful in the fall.
The surroundings are so peaceful too. It was a great place to have a picnic..

Very amazing historical site. They even have the same stone that was used as the doorstep in the original home. The tour given by the missionaries was a great experience.
