Well, I must take my earlier review back.
My 600$ decrease from Progressive was not real. Jenna and I weren't comparing apples to apples. She called me from an online inquiry I had made via a website that then gives your info to providers that are interested in your business. These interested insurers then call you to discuss your coverage options.
Jenna and I both neglected to realize her quote of $600 lower than our current coverage with Progressive didn't include Uninsured Morertist, which costs a quite a bit, $283 a month for us.
When I realized this and called her about it she said, oh well, this wasn't included on your online info. She and I spoke at length via the telephone setting our policy up... I repeatedly was amazed she was saving us $600 a year. She had many opportunities to say, well, you dont have Uninsured Morertist coverage.
She was saving us this amount because we weren't any longer covered by Uninsured Morertist protection.
It was not until I was contacted by them to sign documents that I was acknowledging I declined such coverage that I realized we were no longer covered.
Jenna then quoted me a six months policy of $2,210 for six months compared to our old policy with Progressive for $1,586.
I immediately called Progressive and got restated with a new policy for $1,536 for six months.
What a trip this has been. Insurance agents need to make sure they are quoting apples to apples with clients.
Consumers also have to take ownership, and I do. I should have questioned the $600 in savings. Yet, i watch the tele a bit and the car insurance commercials have people saying they save hundreds moving to new car insurance companies.
So, I did save $100 with Progressive through the whole ordeal!
