John and Lenora Taylor Home Print Shop and Post Office
In August 2025, we visited the John and Lenora Taylor Home and Print Shop in Nauvoo, Illinois. We were in Nauvoo to see the Nauvoo Pageant, a theatrical performance that happens nightly during the Summer. Like all of the other exhibits in Nauvoo, the John and Lenora Taylor Home does not cost anything. The displays and exhibits are cleverly arranged and they give a detailed account of John and Lenora Taylor's life and printing business. The LDS missionaries guide us through the different rooms in the house. The John and Lenora Taylor home is clean, well-maintained, and cleverly organized and displayed. The John and Lenora Taylor home is a highly enjoyable and memorable experience.

This was one of the bigger homes I visited in Nauvoo, which surprised me. I learned a lot about John Taylor and the personal sacrifices he made, and how loyal of a friend he was to JosephSmith and others. It was cool to think about how willing he was to help others, and that the printing press (his job) was right next door!
