I took my new Black Forest cuckoo clock to John. It turned out that nothing was wrong with it; I just didn't know how to wind it. John was gracious, and kind, and full of advice on how to operate and maintain Marietta (my clock). When I called for service, his dear wife responded back within a half hour. John is a Master of his profession; and he is my clock hero! Thank you!

John is a super nice guy and knows what he is doing with clocks. He overhauled a pendulum mantel clock I got off Etsy from 1885 & did a great job. Had some questions about adjusting it after we picked it up and he called us back and gave us some useful tips on using the clock. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Highly recommend John Gill for any cuckoo clock repair. He's very knowledgeable and precise in his repairs. Very honest! He kept my clock running for two weeks just to ensure that it kept running perfectly. You can trust your clock to be repaired with John Gill.

I found a cuckoo clock in the basement recently. It was 2021 and the clock was wrapped in a newspaper from 1998. So I knew it was at least 23 yo but probably older. I had no idea if it worked or was junk. It was surprisingly in pretty good shape, due to it being wrapped up and stored properly. So I Googled clock repair and noticed Mr. Gill's listing. When I called, the woman who answered the phone (I think it was Mrs. Gill) was very friendly and informative. I made an appointment to drop it off at his "shop". I use quotations because he works out of his home. I was expecting to pull up to a shop but it is in a residential neighborhood, so don't be confused if you drive there. It took a few weeks, but he said that it only needed a some lubrication and some minor adjustment. The whole experience was pleasant, beginning to end.
