Buen ambiente pero pocos profesionales sus empleados como que no se esmeran en la atención al cliente y demora en el sevicio
Stopped here for lunch with my brother. Food was outstanding. Staff was extremely friendly. Local law enforcement, business class, and students were enjoying lunch. Highly recommend!!
A bit inconsistent. Not sure what it is but it's always a different experience with their food. Outside of that the place is great and they have great specials.
Living in Jalisco and Nayarit I know a thing or two about birria. And this is pretty decent birria. Certainly the best I've had in Florida!
I love the vibe of Jimmy's! It's all open-air, so you're IN Tampa. Immersed.
I had a taco (Al Pastor), a quesabirria taco, and jalapeño poppers. Clearly, the quesabirria taco is the star of the show. Soft, savory, and served with a cup of jugo / consomme / broth for dipping. Really tasty!
The taco al pastor was fine. Served on a soft corn tortilla, not fried, with just the right amount of filling in the traditional way: Meat, onion, cilantro (and a dab of guac because we're Americans, dammit! :-) ) I don't think the tortillas are made on-site, but as a Mexican that's something I'm spoiled by. No stars deducted for this faux pas.
The poppers were... disappointing. I think they come off the PFG or Sysco truck, frozen. Dropped in the deep fryer and served up with a side of sour cream. I don't know what I expected, exactly, but after the made-to-order tacos this was a little bit of a letdown.
But... bottom line: I'll be back when in Tampa. There's a lot of debate about who serves up the best tacos in Tampa Bay. My vote is Jimmy's.
Oh, and for you folks over on the peninsula: They're opening a location in St. Pete the first of November! Woot!

It was very cute and I was excited to try it. I was brought here by a friend. The vibe was nice til the food came out. I had got the taco bowl, I had taken a bite of the food and it was cold. I’m sure because the vegetables, since it was cold I asked them to heat it up and they were confused on y I asked but had did it “anyway”. Once they were done, a lady bought me my food with the most horrible look on her face of annoyance. Which made me feel as if my ask was such a hindrance to her. Mind you there was NO ONE there. Just me and my friend. Once I got it it I thanked her and she rolled her eyes and went back to the kitchen. I took a bite and it was still cold as if it had not even been heated up and tbh all I wanted was a microwave warm up or baking for the entirety of the dish. I was asked if it was to my liking by a different staff member who had helped us while ordering if it was better. I said “actually no it’s still cold”. He stated maybe bc it was not the proper way or order they usually make it. I said “okay well from what I’m tasting it’s still very cold”. They proceeded to say “well I looked in the back and it’s steaming hot back there”. I stated yet again, “I know what I am tasting and my food is very cold”. I am a very chill person but how I was tried and the way they handle customers with complaints. I was dissatisfied, annoyed, and just disappointed especially as a born and raised Tampa Floridian who supports multiple local businesses, I unfortunately will say save your money, Time, and energy. Go where your money will be valued and you being valued as a person.
