We called Jimmerson Roofing to inspect our current roof and give recommendations for repair or reroofing. After a thorough on roof inspection (not a drone fly over) they pointed out the known problems, mostly aging, and the possibility of further action after they stripped away shingles and roofing material from part of the roof. We agreed to have them proceed with the neeeded work. After stripping away the shingles, the roof section of our house built in 2000 was 4x8 plywood; the 1955 roof was boards that now were warping, cracking and separating. We agreed to have them install 4x8 on the old section then install shingles on the total roof. I’m very glad they pointed out the problems of an aging roof and did all work needed to make this a complete job. Their crew was prompt to start the job on the agreed upon schedule, worked diligently essentially until sundown and returned early the next day to complete the project. They were meticulous in cleaning the work area — no phantom nails left in the driveway. We would use Jimmerson again if we need their other services. Their communication was excellent, work ethic strong, quality of work precise and pricing fair. They built their reputation on past performance, they continued with their excellence with the work on our house.

I got new roof, gutters and guards in April 2022 and was so excited to have these high price tag items done and I thought everything up above would be great for years to come. However, I call this that HORRIBLE gift that keeps on giving 3 years later.
When the project was complete I called Jimmerson back right away for them to explain to me why they hung my gutters in this manner with straps. Something about them was already bothering me.
As winter (2022-23) came I had ice sickles plastered on my home, front and back. I called Jimmerson quite upset about it as this was the first time it'd ever happened and I knew it was because of the gutters and guards. He didn't come out to look for himself, but gave me the gutter company's phone number to call (Sunrise Seamless), after trying to tell me this was normal. I called them, Steve, and he didn't come out either. His suggestion was to check my attic insulation and to maybe buy some kind of heat mat or rug for my front porch that had a line of ice across the whole thing from the ice dripping and refreezing. Like, what??!!! So I have to spend even more money to remedy a problem caused by their products? I had the same ice line across both of my decks in the back of the house. I was furious. I went ahead and hired someone to add more insulation to my attic and then wait to see what happens the following year all the while having anxiety about all of the ice sickles.
As winter (2023-24) came around it was the same thing, ice sickles everywhere. When I say everywhere, I mean everywhere! I called again well into winter and again in the spring. John said that there was just nothing he could do and needed to be done with this so he said that his son would send $500, take it or leave it. He said that he couldn't make Sunrise Seamless do anything either and I told him that this was a serious bad reflection on HIS company because Jimmerson is the one who sold them to me. For both gutters and guards I paid $4,370 ($1,790 gutters, $2,580 guards). This was already a difficult expense for me along with the new shingles. My last call to him I said that I wanted the guards removed. I couldn't take another winter of crazy ice sickles. Sunrise sent 2 men and it took 4 hours for them to remove them. I kept them in a pile in my yard and tried to sell them on FB Marketplace but nobody wanted them until I put 'free' on them.
After that I've had to clean out gutters 3 times this year already and that's what I thought I'd not have to do again. I've been trying to figure out guards through other companies and have since learned the gutters are flimsily mounted. They are also mounted with screws designed for metal roofing with rubber gaskets that have no way of sealing against a shingle. No sealant was used on them at all. I was told that the gutters need to be removed and re-mounted with wedges and hidden hanger fasteners to ensure stability and that this should have been done from the beginning and would have avoided the wrong type of screw being driven through the shingles, creating hundreds of potential leak points. To keep them as they are and to have guards installed would add much more cost because of the labor involved to re-strap the already faulty gutters.
On the Jimmerson Roofing proposal for the gutters and guards it states that the Terminator Aluminum Guards have a Lifetime Performance Warranty and a 10yr Labor Guarantee, but was told that none of this applies to anything I had going on.
I communicated to John to do the right thing, but he didn't.
On a side note, I've also found out that it's obvious that the old flashing was used when reinstalling my sky light after shingling the house when they should have used new. I'm only noting this because who knows what this could cause later down the road.
Edit: 9/17/25 Added an additional photo to show how all of the ice over two winters has rotted the wood that the gutters are attached to.
We specifically told them not to nail into an area of our roof and they did and then did not take responsibility for it. Cost us 3 grand to fix it. Didn't even admit guilt or offer to help out with with cost and pretended like it was our fault. What a horrible experience, and would not recommend them. They are lucky 1 star is minimum....

Their team’s professionalism showed not only in the quality of their work but also in the way they left our property spotless. There was not a single nail, wrapper, or piece of debris left behind.

Roof Done in 1.5 Days—Perfectly.
Licensed, insured, and offering extended warranties as the norm—Jimmerson Roofing delivered flawless results and fair pricing on our large roofing job. Their crew worked nonstop in 85-degree heat and left our property spotless.
Though they don’t require tips, we insisted the crew have food and electrolytes to keep their energy up after working so hard in the heat. They were extremely grateful and finished our roof in just 1.5 days with meticulous workmanship.
One standout moment: they discovered a rotted hole left by Dish installers 10 years prior, replaced the wood, and sent photos when finished—problem solved without involving us.
Both project managers checked in throughout the day and offered creative recommendations for other home improvements, when I asked—no pressure, no upsell, just solutions.
We were impressed to learn they also handle gutters, windows, doors, remodels, and more, each with dedicated project managers. We’ve already had gutters installed and are lined up for additional projects.
If you want quality work, fair pricing, and a trustworthy company that treats your home like their own, Jimmerson Roofing is the only call!
