About

PlumberHVAC ContractorElectrician
Jim Dickerson Company is a family owned and operated business serving the Charlotte and surrounding areas. Jim, a Charlotte native, learned the plumbing trade from his father-in-law, Chester H. Creed, and worked with him for many years before starting his own company. Jim, along with his wife Judy, formed Jim Dickerson Plumbing in 1977. What began as a one truck operation has grown steadily over the years, and today we have a large fleet of service vehicles ready to serve you. Over the years, due to customer demand, we added Electrical and Heating and Air divisions to our company. This has allowed our thousands of customers to receive the same reliable, honest service for their Electrical and HVAC needs that they’ve become accustomed to with their Plumbing service. Swing In 2005, we moved to our current 11,000 square foot location. This facility includes a 7,000 square foot warehouse that allows us to stock many commonly used parts, water heaters, fixtures, and equipment which helps us in providing prompt service, even after normal business hours and on weekends. Jim's daughters, Debbie and Angie, decided to join the company after college and they currently manage the day-to-day operations of the office, including Customer Service, Sales and Marketing, and Accounting. If you have a Plumbing, Electrical, or Heating and Air question, or would like to schedule a service call, please call us and experience first-hand our warm, friendly customer service.

I needed a new toilet installed and Jim Dickerson was the only company I called that could give me rates over the phone. Everyone else needed to schedule a consultation, and I really didn’t have time for that. My technician, Cooper, was super quick and efficient, and he was kind enough to haul away the old toilet. The payment process was quick and easy too - they just emailed a link. Would definitely hire them again!

The team that worked to replace a hot water heater and other issues was fantastic. They worked diligently to fix a complex issue. They took this job personally and were focused on providing a great outcome. I cannot express enough our gratitude for their commitment to quality. They treated this project as if it were their home or the home of a close relative. They confirmed faith in there services at every step of the process.

Overpriced and Rude!!!! $500.00 fee for a $50.00/$100.00 part!!! NOW I have to get my floors redone because no one listened or asked questions!!! I am not a plumber but I know that it would be wise to check for a clog in the cleanout pipe!!!! This company will charge a fee to come out and still charge your the service. Most company's will at least remove the service fee. I will contact Duke Energy as I do not want them to work on anything in my home. The lady I spoke with today had the nerve to say that they only fix what the customer tells them!!! I am not a plumber!!!! They are the so-called professionals!!!! The so-called plumbing manager was even worse. He kept quoting the work order that his friend wrote up. The manager even raised his voice at me. That was the final straw!! Thanks for your non-service. This repair could have been avoided had your company checked out the cleanout pump!!

This was my first visit by Jim Dickerson Plumbing, and I am very impressed and completely satisfied. Chris could not have done anything differently to make the visit better. He listened well, problem solved, and explained what he was doing and why. He identified issues for future consideration in my 40 year old home. Chris even taught me a few things I could try for myself in the future.
